About Me

There are plenty of web designers. But there are few who also know what it means to train for a marathon, swim a race or know a sports club inside out.

I am Robert Gebhardt, web designer and sports nutrition coach. I build WordPress websites specifically for independent sports entrepreneurs and sports clubs. Not because I happen to love sports too, but because that combination makes me a different interlocutor than a generic web designer.

My sports background

Sport is not a hobby on the sidelines for me. It is a big part of who I am. I have run 12 marathons and two ultraloops, done competitive swimming, played water polo at First Class Union level, and done judo and aikido. Currently, I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu several times a week and do strength training. As a certified sports nutrition coach, I coach recreational and amateur athletes on nutrition and performance. I have also been trainer/coach of men's and women's water polo teams for five years, and have taught aikido.

That background means I understand your world. I know how athletes think, what trainers and coaches need and what an association website should do. Whether it's about membership recruitment, informing members or presenting your offer.

My experience as a web designer

I build websites with WordPress and Elementor: a reliable, user-friendly combination that is future-proof. Besides web design, I work at a company that provides an online platform for the leisure sector, where I work with digital solutions and online communication on a daily basis. I use that combination of technical knowledge and practical experience in every website I build.

I actively think about the content of your website. Which pages do you need? How do you address your target group? What should be on your homepage to convince? These are questions I answer together with you, before I even build a single page.
